Dandruff is one of those ailments that affect nearly everyone at some point. Dandruff is caused by a reaction to yeast called ‘Pityrosporum ovale’. (Sounds bad, I know. Let’s just say I wouldn’t make my bread out of it!). Dandruff can also be happen because of quick exposure to extreme heat and cold.  Eat healthy food, exercise regularly and get plenty of rest. Just like lowering your stress levels, improving your overall health and well being will help not just with your dandruff, but in all aspects of your life.

Here are some tips for how to remove Dandruff:

Massage the aloe Vera leaves gel to your scalp and let it remain for an hour and rinse your hair thoroughly. It is very much effective in treating dandruff snowfall.

Include more green vegetables and fresh fruits in your diet. Drink lots of water and minimize the intake of junk food, oily food, strong tea, coffee and alcohol.

Boil 5-7 tealeaves in a 3 cup of water for 10 minutes, when it cools down mix 2 teaspoons of limewater. After giving your hair a good wash use it as a last rinse, to give your scalp the anti-dandruff formation. This gives your hair a lustrous shine and provides nourishment too.

Remove margarine and oils from your diet except for sesame oil, which you shouldn’t eat but rub into your scalp instead. Yes, yes, it sounds ridiculous, but it does prevent the skin from peeling.

Don’t dye your hair. If you’re gagging for Grecian 2000 or just hankering to return to the days of punk, forget it. Hair dye reduces the number of good bacteria on your scalp, some of which are essential in fighting dandruff yeast.

Treat dandruff and other hair problems naturally with the use of essential oils. Essential oils such as lavender, rosemary and thyme can be mixed with”carrier” oil and then massaged into the scalp to reduce itchy and skin flaking.

Apply jojoba oil to your scalp and hair on a regular basis. Like other natural remedies, jojoba can be as effective as most over-the-counter medicated shampoos you buy at the store. Jojoba is a great moisturizer and is known to balance the ph levels of your hair and scalp.

Make a mixture of 1 teaspoons of vinegar and 3 teaspoons of water and apply it on the scalp before you go to bed. Keep it for the whole night with a towel around the head. Rinse your head with vinegar water again in the morning.

Minimize the stress or tension. Clean and brush your hair daily to improve the blood circulation in scalp and remove flakiness.
